Team Auto is pleased to announce our new labour warranty that is available to purchase on select used parts.
Here’s how it works: At the time of purchase or order, above and beyond the used parts warranty, you have the option to purchase additional warranty for labour.
You will be given a receipt with all terms and conditions covered at the time of purchase.
Engines may be sold with accessories attached. E.g. intake manifold or water pump. These are not covered by warranty. We recommend transferring these off the original unit.
NOTE: New and Rebuilt Parts have a different warranty structure. Ask your salesman for details.
Terms and Conditions of Labour Warranty:
- Warranty may only be purchased at the time of original sale.
- Warranty is for labour only. Coverage is $75.00 per hour, based on Mitchell’s Flat Rate Inc. This applies to shops as well as Do It Yourself
- Warranty is non-transferable unless the original sale is to a vendor that is currently in the business of selling vehicles. In that case, warranty transfers only to first person who made the purchase from the vendor, no further. The transfer must be documented at the time of sale.
- This warranty does not cover tows, hotels, lost wages or rental vehicles costs incurred due to a failed part. These are used parts sold in an “as is condition with all faults”. Team Auto is not responsible for any personal injury or property damage as a result of defects in the parts. This warranty is for labour only.
- We strongly recommend replacing seals and timing belts, prior to installation. These are not covered by warranty.
- To begin a claim the customer must contact Team Auto with an invoice number and/or copy of original receipts prior to removing any defective part. A claim number must be assigned and instructions of next steps followed or the warranty may be void

- Team Auto may request an inspection by their own mechanic or a third party PRIOR to uninstall of the faulty part.
- Team Auto may choose to refund the original purchase price in the event that the replacement cost is higher than the purchase price. Warranty cost cannot exceed the original purchase price.
- This warranty is valid within North America only, not including Hawaii and Alaska
Warranties may be voided in the case of the following:
- Abuse or neglect.
- Aftermarket modifications.
- Fleet or taxi use.
- Failure to produce receipts of items used at the time of installation. E.g. Oil filter and seals.
- Failure to provide proof that recommended oil changes were adhered to.
- Failure to flush cooling systems, lines or use of improper fluids.
- Failure to follow any installation guidelines and procedures.
- Failure to flush cooling system and transmission coolers before installation.
- Use of improper fluids: oil, antifreeze or seals at the time of installation.
- Failure to properly flash or scan a motor or transmission at the time of installation.
